Lookie what we have here, a super healthy pound cake that honestly only takes about 10 minutes to make. Besides the cook time, this cake seriously has one step to make. Throw everything in a bowl, mix it, bake it. Easy enough, right? Pound cake is known for being made with 4 ingredients: flour, butter, sugar, and eggs. Yeah, though all of those things are so delicious, don’t you want pound cake that you can feel good about (and even eat for breakfast)?
Most of time, whenever I make cakes or breads, I cut them into individual pieces and wrap them so they are easily accessible whenever hunger strikes. Making this cake in the beginning of the week saves me a lot time when packing a lunch for work or school. Grab a piece of cake and you’re ready to go!
This pound cake is so rich, moist, full of flavor, and sickeningly addictive. Bring this to a party and people will be blown away that it isn’t made with tons of sugar and butter. Throw a little chocolate syrup on it, add a scoop of ice cream to it, and customize it however you want to!
Chocolate Almond Pound Cake
Yields: 8 slices
Mix all of your dry ingredients in a bowl and stir together. Then add your wet ingredients and mix until totally combined. Pour your batter into a loaf pan, and bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes (keep checking it towards the end).
