Okay, first off, is there anyone in this world that doesn’t love a good poptart here and there? I strongly remember always begging my mom to buy the s’mores kind so that I could toast them in the oven. The edges would get all crispy and the inside would be sooo melted and fudgey :’) It was such a beautiful thing.
Sadly though, I don’t get my hands on too many poptarts these days so I figured I had to recreate my favorite flavor to enjoy them once again. Seriously though, this tastes like an actual s’more, bonfire and all. It brings you to a cool October night around the fire pit with all of your friends, PLUS it’s super nutritious. A s’more that is good for your body, how is that even possible? Whole food amazes me.
In this recipe, I used Labrada “Jamie Eason Natural Whey Isolate”(link with purchase info below the recipe). Seriously, this stuff is awesome. It mixes really easily, bakes well, and most importantly, tastes great. Another perk is that it’s lactose free, gluten free, and has 25g of protein per serving. The fact that it’s lactose free is really cool to me because sometimes whey protein containing lactose bothers my stomach. This protein is extremely intolerance friendly and I definitely recommend getting your hands on some.
