Pretty in Pink

When I was younger, my mom always bought me girly clothes. I gotta admit, she had good style. Even when I look back at pictures, I always wish I could transport those clothes into the future in my current size hahah. My mom was so committed, she even went as far as making hair bows for every  outfit out of ribbon, hair ties, and hot glue; it was impressive. When I started picking out my own clothes however, I became a hugeee tom boy. While it wasn’t that I didn’t like girly clothes, I just was a lot more comfortable in a band t-shirt and jeans. I guess it was the culture I was in, I went to a lot of concerts and really just didn’t care about dressing up hahah. Anyone else feel me? I’m talking Myspace and hardcore / post alternative concerts that every little girl loved (and I may still have love for ;).

Regardless, when I started rediscovering my love of style in high school & college, all things colorful flew back into my life. Ever since then, i’ve been down with everything girly. This skirt / purse combo truly gives me life. Blush is a dope color because even though it’s pink, it’s not super bright, neon, and excessive. Over the years i’ve definitely found that i’m not into colors that immediately give me a headache when I look at them (highlighter yellow running apparel, anyone? kill me pls).

I’m also crushing hard on this bag because it’s vegan leather. In the past year i’ve been trying to buy more sustainable + ethical products so i’m always hyped when I see that something is vegan. I can definitely see myself using this purse on repeat for a longggg time. Even though spring isn’t technically here yet, I take advantage of warm weather clothes every time it’s above 50 out haha. I love this simple skirt + blouse combo. I adore blouses that have an extra little touch like the bow neck-tie on this one. They add the element of being dressy without being over the top. It’s safe to say that pretty blouses and skirts will definitely be my spring wardrobe. I’ve seen SO many cute ones at Boohoo & Forever 21, go check them out. I can’t not wait to order some stuff! Does anyone else get a high when they order stuff online?? Just me? This might be a problem hahhah.
