Valentine’s Day… whether you love it or hate it, it’s here to stay. While I get the argument that it’s a hallmark holiday made up to make $$, I still think it’s fun to celebrate the theme of love. Whether that be with your beau, your bffs, or your family, I enjoy a day where it’s […]

Whether you like it or not, Athleisure is everywhere these days. As a blend of put-together, business, and casual, athleisure is something that people are drawn to. While materials like spandex and lycra didn’t used to be seen as anything other than activewear, now more than ever every type of brand is churning out clothing in these […]

Simple Athleisure Outfit for Fall

Simple adidas athleisure look for fall weather

Back to school… those are single handedly the 3 most depressing words you can hear at the end of summer. While a lot of people get excited about school, I was always the opposite. I would drag my feet on doing summer assignments until the very end, and not even think about school supplies until a few days […]

Back to School Style

Even though it’s now September, you best believe I won’t stop wearing summer clothes until summer “technically” ends. While I am excited for fall, something in me is just not ready to give up summer clothes just yet. I’m not sure if it’s the warm weather (still in the 80’s here in NJ & i’m […]

Gingham City Outfit

Beauty is pain, that’s what they always tell you, isn’t it? Without one, you can’t have the other. While I often reminisce on the days where jeans didn’t have a stretch, or shoes weren’t made to walk in, we now live in a society where comfort & beauty are often married. I for one know that more often than not, I prefer comfort over style. If I don’t feel like I could sit in a dress without suffocating or walk in shoes for hours, I tend to throw them to the wayside. Until now..

Fall Style in Comfort

As you guys can tell from my past posts (here, here, and oh shocker here again), I really can’t pass up a simple sun dress. I think they’re my favorite articles of clothing in the world. When spring hits and the warm breeze rolls in, I take out all of my dresses & soak in the simplicity of warm weather outfits. I just love how easy they are and how you don’t have to put together an entire outfit.

One of the many reasons that I love sun dresses is that they truly are day to night outfits. While I went pretty casual with this look, it could easily be dressed up for dinner by adding a higher heel and an up-do. Since the warmer weather won’t be around for much longer (on the East Coast atleast, SO jealous of anyone who lives in a warm climate all year round), there are some SERIOUS sales on summer dresses. I’ve found amazing ones at Shein, Forever 21, and Boohoo. I linked a few of my favorites below that you know i’ll be ordering before summer is over.

Patchwork Sun Dress

Hi guys! I’m sorry i’ve been so absent on here lately. In the past month, i’ve been traveling a lot to different beach towns with friends so i’m just getting settled back in this week (before I head out on another trip next week hahah). Since summer is in full swing, I thought it’d be really fun to highlight some of my favorite beach essentials & beach outfits for the season. I love beach wear because it doesn’t have to be totally practical + is always really fun and colorful.

The coverup i’m wearing below has to be one of my favorites that i’ve gotten this season. From the tassels, to the shape, to the sheer white nature, I love everything about it. Boohoo has so many awesome / affordable coverups for summer, i’d highly recommend checking out their entire array here. They’re also currently having a 50% off of everything sale so now is the time to stock up! I may or may not have bought more myself. 😉

Beach Day Outfit

Gingham, it’s a weird word right? I remember the first time I told my mom I wanted a gingham skirt, I pronounced it like “ginge-ham” hahah. While I have learned to pronounce the word correctly over time, my love of gingham has still stayed strong. There’s just something about this simple, checked pattern that feels timeless and effortless. It reminds me of warm summer days.

Gingham Midi Dress

Tassles, pom-poms, fringe.. I truly can’t get enough of this trend. As a kid, my mom always loved everything colorful and embroidered. When we went on a family trip to Mexico in 8th grade, she made sure to bring back blankets, pillows, bowls, and everything else under the sun. Because I was always surrounded by her love of these things, I am truly livingggggg for the fact that pom-poms and embroidery can be found everywhere nowadays. Pretty much everything I own embodies this trend in some way & I never plan on stopping. #addicted. From clothing to jewelry, send me all things bright & beautiful!

Tassle Trend

While satin used to be strictly for PJ’s, today it’s everywhere! I snagged this crop top from Boohoo recently and I couldn’t be more obsessed. The pink drew me in, and the satin made it even better. I really love that this top can be dressed up or dress down. I liked pairing it with heels and a skirt, but I also think it would look awesome with jeans & adidas. Multi-functional pieces are my favorite.

The internet has so many cute pieces for summer you guys. I’ve bought SO much, someone stop me. Does anyone else have the problem where packages show up to your door step every.. single.. day..? #guilty

Satin Dreams Trend

Spring has sprung and I am truly feeling the happiest i’ve been in a while. There’s just something about being able to work from my porch, taking walks without a jacket, and driving with the windows down that makes my heart feel full. Spring also happens to be my favorite weather for fashion. In the winter you need too many layers, fall just leads in to winter, and summer is too damn hot (sweating every day? i’m good thanks). Spring is truly my cup of tea.

Striped Ruffle Romper

Every time a new season rolls around, I get really excited thinking about all of the new styles that the weather allows. While i’d love to go out and get a new wardrobe every time, that’s simply not feasible or financially friendly haha. I’m sure I speak for the vast majority when I say that even buying a few things for the upcoming season can break the budget.

Trying to be a conscious adult and make smart financial decisions (lol), I decided to try & find some budget friendly options that could allow me to grab some new season styles without draining my bank account. Let me let you in on a little secret, 80% of the time when you see people wearing expensive things, they were absolutely discounted in some way. I mean really, who can afford to (or want to) spend hundreds of dollars on a dress?

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I adore a good splurge (helloooo handbags & shoes), but most of the time i’m a bargain shopper. There’s just something that feels so good about getting a good deal you know?
