I feel like brussels sprouts get a really bad rep. I remember when I was younger, I used to associate them with the worst food possible. When I got older however, I decided to give them another try. I’m honestly so thankful I did, because they are SO good. Currently, they are my most favorite vegetable. I go through multiple bags a week.
Roasting them is the besssssssst thing ever. Something about grilled/semi burnt food makes anything taste so much better. I truly don’t know why I put bacon on them, but i’m so happy I did. Regularly bacon is way too greasy for me, but something about turkey bacon I really fancy. If you don’t enjoy eating vegetables, this is for you. Seriously, this tastes like the most guilty dish. Another perk is that it is protein packed, and full of nutrients. Make this as a side, or as an entree for dinner or lunch. Either way, people will be begging for more!
Roasted Brussels and Bacon
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. First, wash the brussels sprouts and quarter them. Cut them in half once, then cut them in half again (so that each sprout is cut into 4 pieces). Spray a cookie sheet so that they do not stick, then pour them onto the sheet. Break apart pieces of turkey bacon and sprinkle them over the sprouts. Then, sprinkle the seasoning over the bacon/brussels. Bake them in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are as roasted as you like.
Most days, you can find me shooting and styling my new favorite outfits, or cooking up something delish in the kitchen!
