Even though it’s now September, you best believe I won’t stop wearing summer clothes until summer “technically” ends. While I am excited for fall, something in me is just not ready to give up summer clothes just yet. I’m not sure if it’s the warm weather (still in the 80’s here in NJ & i’m LIVING for it) or my need to extend summer a little longer but shorts, rompers, and dresses are still calling my name.
Now: let’s talk about the end of season sales. While I am addicted to buying clothes all year round, I am truly the type of person that gets a little “too” excited about end of season blow outs. Honestly, they’re amazing! So many of the pieces that I was obsessed with all summer long are now crazyyyyy cheap.
While I really needed to grab some more jean shorts in the beginning of summer, I kept putting it off. At the end of August however, I went over to American Eagle after wearing a friends pair of shorts on vacation and ending up buying 6. Excessive much? Honestly though, I couldn’t help myself! They were BOGO free + so comfortable! Seriously, if you’re the type of person that hates denim because it’s tight & uncomfortable, these shorts are for you. They stretch, don’t ride up, and don’t bag out. Instead of avoiding denim like the plague, I now voluntarily put these on since I know they’ll be comfortable all day long. Check out their massive / on-sale collection: here.
Aside from these shorts, I got so many questions & DM’s on instagram about this top when I posted it the other day. Three things: it’s under $20, it’s a self-tie so it will fit just about anyone, and it’s super light weight so it’s perfect for spring/summer/fall. Basically, YOU NEED IT. I really love the red gingham print and feel like the bow truly takes it to the next level. It gives me all of the preppy school vibes with a hint of sophistication. I linked this top below but you can also shop it: here.

Even though the summer is wrapping up, i’m trying to be thankful about all of the fun things i’ve gotten to do in the past couple of months. I was lucky enough to go on a few different mini vacations with friends, and explored tons of neat pop-ups in my area. If you’re looking for something to do in Philadelphia, the photos in this post were snapped at the River Rink Summer-fest. It’s located in Old City right next to the Delaware River. The day I visited, they had roller skating, a ferris wheel, games, food, a beer garden, and a lot more. While it was less crowded since I went on a week day, I’ve heard it gets pretty fun at night. If you guys have any suggestions of stuff to do in the area or even things that would merit a trip, please let me know! I’m always looking for a good time. 🙂
Thanks for reading, enjoy your week loves!
Most days, you can find me shooting and styling my new favorite outfits, or cooking up something delish in the kitchen!
