Back to School Style

Back to school… those are single handedly the 3 most depressing words you can hear at the end of summer. While a lot of people get excited about school, I was always the opposite. I would drag my feet on doing summer assignments until the very end, and not even think about school supplies until a few days before the start date. Even though this caused me to get stuck with the awful colored folders or last notebooks on the shelf (big problems, I know) because almost everything was sold out, I just didn’t want to think about school until it was absolutely necessary.

While starting school can feel miserable, the one redeeming quality lies within the back to school sales. Though I graduated college a year ago, you better believe that I still love to take advantage of these and stock up on fall wardrobe essentials.

Today,  I am sharing with you guys some of my favorite back to school essentials. This includes comfy jeans (with some stretch – yaaaas), even more comfortable shoes, and a big sweater that feels like pajamas but looks more socially acceptable. Essentials, am I right?

First, let’s talk about this sweater. I recently ordered it from Forever 21. It’s super comfortable, now on sale for $13, and really cute. I love the fact that it’s high-low so it’s long enough to wear with leggings when you want to be ultimately comfortable. Big tops like this are a school / fall staple for me since they are super easy to throw on when you’re running late. Simply pair them with some cropped, distressed jeans (ones i’m wearing: here) and you have yourself an effortlessly cool outfit.

Another wardrobe staple that I think is completely necessary for fall = slip on sneakers.  While I used to think sneakers were just for sporty looks, i’ve recently adopted the fact that they can literally be worn with anything! These shoes from Call it Spring are the perfect color, pattern, & fit. I can see myself wearing them with dresses, skirts, and leggings for months on end. On my search for the perfect pair I also found a ton of great options at Call it Spring, Nordstrom, Shein, and Vans.
