These fries are my go-to almost every day.
Sweet potatoes are definitely one of my favorite foods ever. Recently I read that if you eat an abundance of sweet potatoes and carrots (which I do), your skin can turn an orange tint. Isn’t that scary? I’m totally convinced that’s going to happen to me. Nevertheless, I would definitely sacrifice my regular skin tone just to eat these fries every day. They’re that good.
Anyway, I really didn’t think I liked sweet potatoes until two years ago. Trust me, even if you don’t think you like them, make these fries and I can guarantee that you’ll be a sweet potato convert. They’re so addicting. These fries are so crispy and delicious that they’re considerably better than restaurant fries. Aside from the taste being better, they’re a whole lot better for you too.
Sweet potatoes are high in the vitamin B6, which helps prevent heart attacks, and vitamin D, which plays a role in energy, moods, and overall health. Not to mention, they are also a great source of iron, and vitamin C.
After learning all of these good things, how could you not want to make these?
Sweet Potato Fries
This recipe isn’t really much of a recipe, it’s more of a tutorial.
*** Tip: Many times, I will wash, chop, and soak all of my potatoes when I buy them, THEN put them a tupperware so that they are ready to be baked whenever I want them. 🙂 This is really helpful when you don’t have time to do the prep work every day.
Most days, you can find me shooting and styling my new favorite outfits, or cooking up something delish in the kitchen!
