This post is sponsored by Daiya, a brand I love. All ideas and opinions are my own.
One of things I love most about spring and summer is dining al fresco aka eating outside (I’m cultured sometimes you see 😉 ). Seriously, I can’t enough of it. Everywhere I go the first thing I ask is “can I sit outside?”. Since I’m a huge foodie to begin with and going to eat is one of my favorite things, getting to sit outside in the fresh air during it makes my experience 10x better. All I need is a good meal and a 75-degree day. What can I say? I’m easy to please.
The other day on a pretty afternoon, a few friends and I headed down to the local park to hangout and have a little picnic. Honestly, things like this are *SO* under-rated. I love that little day dates like this can be as planned or impromptu as you’d like! While I love having a big, fun BBQ party, I love sitting in the city park with milkshakes just as much. I’m telling you, next time you’re bored, try this out!
All you need is:
Let’s get to it.
While I did cut out dairy a few years ago from my diet (I am very lactose intolerant) that hasn’t hindered my love of ice-cream in any way, shape, or form. Honestly, it’s done the exact opposite. I like to think of it like a game. Who has the best non-dairy flavor? They have vegan custard at a coffee shop a half hour away?? Let’s GO. I love hunting around the city for the next best non-dairy ice-cream flavor and seeing what people have to offer. That’s why when I found out Daiya was coming out with a new Dessert Bar, I hunted it down instantly.
If you aren’t familiar with Daiya and are looking to add more plant-based meals to your diet, you need to check them out. Daiya offers all the goods (aka better-for-you comfort foods) like Pizza, Burritos, and now Dessert Bars. If we’re being honest, most of the time, you can catch me posted up on a Friday night with a bowl of Daiya Cheezy Mac in one hand, and the remote in the other lol. Netflix & Chill? More like Netflix & Grub.
Ever since I’ve gone non-dairy, I’ve realized just how many people are doing so too, and not for the reasons you might assume. I’ve heard of friends cutting out dairy to clear up their skin, people ditching the dairy to be healthier, or simply doing so because they want to try something new. So whether you’re any of the above, or you just love the idea of a coconut based ice-cream, you’ve got to give these Daiya Dessert Bars a try.
I picked them up at the grocery store locally but you can find Daiya’s selection in over 25,000 grocery stores in the U.S (check out the store locator here) so I know these are in stock somewhere near you! These Dessert Bars are perfect for the whole family since they’re allergy-free, and are SO damn delicious. I like to keep my freezer stocked with a few boxes for when friends come over or for dessert at the BBQ! Whether enjoyed by the pool or after dinner as a sweet lil’ pick-me-up, these Dessert Bars are the perfect treat to help you jump into summer.
Happy *almost summer* loves! Hope it’s a good one whenever you are!
Most days, you can find me shooting and styling my new favorite outfits, or cooking up something delish in the kitchen!
