Recently, i’ve discovered that I really love avocados. They’re soooo rich, delicious, and work well in any recipe. Lately, I’ve been finding ways to put avocados in EVERYTHING I eat. From my chocolate avocado mousse, avo on toast, avo and honey on rice cakes, guac in burrito bowls, as a dip with pineapple, I love it in every situation. That’s how this beautiful creation came about it.
Even though I always saw recipes where people would put avocado in their smoothies, I have to admit, I always thought it was kinda weird. Then, this morning, I gave it a try and finally understood why people always do it! It’s SOoooooooO good. It makes your smoothie so creamy, all while packing your body with nutrients.
Now I get it, I guarantee some of you are reading this and thinking “HOW??”. There are a lot of people that are so quick to turn up their nose at the thought of eating an avocado. A werid brown/green fruit thats kind of mushy and has a giant pit? I can see how they aren’t the moooooost appealing. Honestly though, I guarantee once you try to incorporate them into your diet, you’ll never go back.
Avocados have been proven to have more potassium than bananas, are loaded with healthy fatty acids (which are linked to having beneficial effects on cancer genes), have tons of fiber, can lower cholesterol, help with weight loss, and can relieve arthritis symptoms. Okay, after hearing all that, how would you not want to add them into your meal rotation? Give this a try and I guarantee you’ll want to make it every morning. It’s so delicious that even my brother (who doesn’t really like vegetables) makes this every day.
